The Puerto Rican Leadership Council of South Florida (PRLC) is hosting a network event to raise funds for the families of victims and survivors of the tragic shooting in Orlando, Florida.
The event will be held on Friday June 24th, from 6 through 8 o’clock pm at Benny's Seafood, a Puerto Rican restaurant located at 295 NW 82nd Avenue, Miami Florida 33126.
All donations will be accepted in this event and checks should be endorsed to the Hispanic Federation. Please write in the “For” section of the check, SomosOrlando. The Hispanic Federation is a national non-profit organization with headquarters in New York. The Hispanic Federation has established in Orlando a multi-service component to provide post health related services with other health providers and other community related capacity building.

At the Puerto RIcan Summit Press Conference, Thursday, April 7th, 2016, held at the Orlando City Hall rotunda, Juan E. Hernandez, Executive Director Puerto Rican Federal Affairs Administration from Washington DC presented Orlando's Mayor Buddy Dyer and City Commissioner Tony Ortiz with a Puerto Rico flag for the rotunda.
